CuRReNTLy

some current thoughts running through my mind ...
  1. Is it normal to - out of the blue - begin to miss your ex-boyfriend almost one year after you've officially parted ways? Let me clarify ... I am no longer in love, nor do I want to be with the kid. However, I have been reminiscent lately ... and it's killing me. I keep having these little girl dreams of reliving those days ... this can't be normal right? Perhaps it's because I never really got closure to the relationship. Or is it because ... I'm just not over him? I wish someone out there could give me some insight on this.
  2. Where oh where is my best friend? I love her dearly ... crazy to think I seldom hear from her. I know the phone works both ways ... should I pick it up and call her? I hesitate ... daily ... because perhaps I am afraid (good or bad) of what awaits me on the other end? Stinks not being in high school or college anymore ... when we had ample amounts of time and nothing better to do, other than to spend time with one another. Or perhaps ... this has been how things have been ALL along ... and I get amnesia ever so often and forget the truth.
  3. I just facebook stalked one of my good friends from high school .... who I recently had a falling out with. My heart broke a little bit ... I MISS HER. Or is it the idea of her and what she used to mean to me? Yet again, another relationship that I did NOT get closure with. I wonder if she will show up to my housewarming party this weekend. If she does ... will it be awkward? If she does not ... what does this mean about the state of our friendship? I am still confused and befuddled about why things ended or blew up the way that they did.
If there is anything that I EVER said ... or realized ... it's that RELATIONSHIPS are by FAR the most difficult thing for me to navigate in my day to day life. They frustrate me ... make me feel insecure ... make me question things and over think things that do not need to be over thought. Oh! I change my mind ... writing reports for seven students at the SAME TIME ALSO frustrates me.

So these are the thoughts that currently are on my mind ... God have your way with me. And perhaps in due time ... your time ... I may have clarity or answer to/on my questions. Only time will tell....

Hope in the Unseen

I do not blog nearly enough ... but I hope that my entries (both personal and inspiration quotes from others) uplift those who visit my site. I know I revisit old posts every once in a while ... to uplift my spirit when I am frustrated and feeling low.

This blog has served many purposes of the past year or two of my life ... but currently, I use it as an outlet when I am really down and as a place that I can *archive* words I have stumbled across that give new meaning to my life ... that give me a new and positive outlook on whatever it is that I am going through.

So today ... whoever may be reading this ... know that there is hope in the unseen. And that you WILL get through whatever it is that you're going through. Tough times do not last forever ... but tough people ALWAYS do :o)

So smile and take solace in the fact that it's the little things in life that count.

Words of Wisdom

The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel. - Steven Furtick

“Sometimes people take the great things you are doing as a personal attack on their own life. Do not let their insecurities dishearten you.”—Daniel Chidiac

“If you’re dealt a setback today, I ask you to treat it as an opportunity to get curious and learn about the experience. You won’t always know exactly where the chapter will head, but you’ll know that you’re moving forward with lessons learned, wisdom gained, and experiences to share.”―Antonio Neves

“The path you are traveling may be the more challenging one but don’t lose faith, don’t listen to the doubters, don’t let setbacks keep you down and most of all, don’t give up.” ―Chris Assaad

“You wouldn’t worry so much about what people really thought of you if you knew just how seldom they do.” ―Unknown

“Take a big bite out of life. Lick the plate of now clean. Leave nothing on the table of regret.”―Kute Blackson

stress

Stress comes when we allow the many voices in life to drown out the only voice that really matters, the voice of God. We can’t obey every voice we hear. If we try, we will end up in total failure, carrying a heavy load we were never created to carry...

Life Doesn't Hurt ...

Bright Future in Store

"We’ve all been in seasons of life when we feel like things aren’t going our way, or we’re not where we want to be. In these times, it’s tempting to let discouragement and doubt come in and take away the peace and excitement you once had.

You may be in one of those seasons right now, struggling to truly be happy where you are. But this is not the way God wants you to live. He tells us in scripture that even in the difficult times, He is with us. Even when you can’t see a way out, He will make a way through. Even when things don’t turn out the way we planned, He has a plan to turn things around for our good.

The key is, don’t get upset about your circumstances. Instead, be determined to walk through to victory. Declare by faith that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Declare by faith that you are rising higher. Keep standing, keep believing and keep hoping because God has a bright future in store for you!" - Joel Osteen

Count Your Blessings

Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence. - Og Mandino
